3.Book cover design about Fashion illustration

Step 1.   I chose fashion illustrations as the theme of the cover design.

             First of all, I studied the following three types of illustrations of the cover, their common ground is very simple and intuitive, no extra decoration. They have a pair of illustrators to attract the attention of the reader, and then are minimalist style. I really like this cover, let me have the desire to buy.          

             

Step 2.  I began to design a book cover of my own illustrations. Then I chose a hand-painted illustrator from my college.

Step 3.After selecting the picture, I scanned the software with the scan 2 times, a black and white style, a color style. My idea is to use them on the front and back of the cover.

                  Step 4. Select the logo.I found a logo from the Internet, the above is a hanger shape, I think this is in line with my theme. So I chose it as my fashion illustrator Logo.

Step 5.  After selecting my image, I started using software PS to make the cover.

                   Step. 6 I cut out the picture I selected and intended to use it as a back cover.

Step.7 I chose to use the ruler tool to find the center position on the cover, and to determine the location of the spine.

Step.8 I determined the book's font and back cover, I chose handwritten style as the title, and under the title with the LOGO, also wrote the title on the spine. Paste the bar code on the back cover.

Step.9 I also designed a rectangular and triangular border, in order to make the whole cover structure more beautiful. Finally I wrote a brief introduction to the illustrations at the back cover.

Summary, the whole cover is completed. My design process is not complicated, my idea is to do a minimalist illustration set, and did not change the cover of the white background. The final performance of the comparison quite satisfactory.

 Reflection on my work

I did not change the background color of the book, and I chose the color of the illustrations is relatively simple, the overall look or slightly boring. I think the next time I can try to change the color more. And the font of the book is also routine, fashion illustrations use exaggerated little words will be more attractive, I will try to choose a more daring design.
